Farewell Jenny Fitzgerald

After 10 years as Scope’s CEO, Dr Jennifer Fitzgerald is stepping down from her role. The Board thanks and honours Jenny for her outstanding leadership and service to the Mission of Scope through extraordinary times. She took on the mantle of CEO at the start of a significant period of change, leading Scope through transformation, ensuring Scope is well placed to thrive in the NDIS environment.

Under her leadership, Scope has had many achievements. These include the successful tender to the Victorian government for 41% of their Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, and the transition of those services to the NDIS.

In 2021, she also oversaw the expansion into New South Wales and the transfer of additional SIL services from Uniting VIC/TAS, growing Scope’s national footprint.

Throughout her time as CEO, Jenny has been a champion for people with disability and their families, through strategic advocacy with government.

We were pleased to see her contribution and service to people with disability recognised last year, when she was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honour Roll.

We sincerely thank Jenny for her outstanding leadership of Scope for the past decade.
