First Virtual Disability Conference – Call for papers
Scope, in partnership with the University of Melbourne, National Disability Services, and a network of disability organisations and universities are hosting the first ever National Virtual Disability Conference on March 21, 2018.
This exciting virtual conference brings together experts from all around the world to share best practice and discuss ways of supporting people with disability, their families and service providers.
What would you like to see?
The Conference Planning Committee invites you to propose oral presentations and e-posters that can be featured at the conference. Share your ideas and outcomes with the wider world.
Please submit an abstract based on one of four conference streams:
- Health and well being
- Life-long education
- Community Living
- Meaningful occupation
People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts.

About the Conference
For a wide-ranging discussion, the conference will include all those who are part of the disability industry, including people with disabilities, their families, professionals, administrators, policy makers, and researchers. Plain language versions of all abstracts will be available prior to the conference.
The conference will be accessed via computer, land line phone or any mobile device from the convenience of people’s home or office.
