A few words from board member Serge Sardo

Being a Director on any Board is a privilege that provides much stimulation, and sometimes some fun thrown in. I have met some inspiring individuals at Scope and I always look forward to visiting customers. Being a Director though, does also come with much responsibility. A big part of our job is to assess and prepare for all the known risks, and insulate from the unknown risks.

So, when the Victorian Government was seeking to transfer their specialist accommodation services, it was our job to consider what this would mean for Scope.

Rest assured we all took this responsibility seriously. We were excited about the opportunity to extend our mission. We believe we have an obligation to give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience the Scope way of supporting people.

We have an amazing culture at Scope that sets us apart from other organisations, which we want to preserve and promote.

The Board has enormous confidence in all of Scope’s staff, particularly their commitment to providing the best possible services.

These combined strengths gave us the confidence to pursue this opportunity.

It was a momentous achievement when we were selected by the Victorian Government. A year on, I’m so proud of the way we’ve supported our new customers and staff to transfer to Scope.

I’m really looking forward to hearing some great stories from our new customers. It’s such a privilege to be part of this next evolution.
