Australia and New Zealand Cerebral Palsy Strategy- Have Your Say!

Scope is partnering with other organisations and consumer representatives to develop a plan that outlines the priorities that need to be addressed in the field of cerebral palsy in Australia and New Zealand, in order to make life better for people with cerebral palsy and their families.

This will include priorities for research, priorities for health, therapies, services and supports, and priorities for social systems (e.g. education). However, in order to know what should be included as priorities in this plan, we need your help.

Why is this work important?
National strategies have been used as successful advocacy tools for many conditions such as autism, allergies, pain, multiple sclerosis etc. However, cerebral palsy does not currently have a national strategy. Having a document that reflects the voice of all people involved in the field of cerebral palsy will help us to better advocate for appropriate allocation of resources, policy changes, and is particularly timely with the introduction of NDIS.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED – have your say!

You can have a say your experiences and what you feel are priorities that need to be addressed in the area of cerebral palsy in Australia and New Zealand.

We would love as many people as possible to get involved, including people with cerebral palsy, families, friends and supporters of people with cerebral palsy, and people working in the field of cerebral palsy.
